In this representation of “Silenced” I focus on realism. I try to capture the eyes and the structure of the hand as accurately as possible.

The black and white color selection gives the drawing a cinematic vibe but it also situates it in a timeless frame.

The image evokes sadness, fear and anxiety, because of the context of an abusive relationship.

The elements that participate in the expression of the emotions mentioned before are the hands that cover the mouth and the eyes.

The covering of the mouth stands for suppression, domestic violence, abuse and the loss of freedom.

The eyes express the sadness and the fear of the character.
